Ascended the Gadi in 2018

His Highness Shrimant Malojiraje III Sanyuktaraje Bhosle is the current Rajasaheb of Akkalkot. He was born as Manajirao, son of Adv. Shri Jayajirao Raje Bhonsle from Kurla Raje Bhonsle family. On 3rd January 2005 he was adopted by H.H. Shrimant Rajkumari Sanyuktaraje Bhosle, the then legal heir of Akkalkot Royal family, as the Prince of Akkalkot State and was named as Malojiraje III. On 4th May 2018, after the demise of Shrimant Rajkumari Sanyuktaraje Bhosle, Malojiraje III was coronated as the Rajasaheb of Akkalkot, succeeding the Royal “Gadi” throne of Akkalkot.

He is known for his philanthropic endeavors, supporting various charitable organizations and initiatives aimed at providing aid to the underprivileged and marginalized sections of the society. His dedication to preservation of Akkalkot’s rich cultural heritage and his commitment for the welfare of the people has solidified his position as a respected and influential figure within the region and beyond.

His vision has always been to make Akkalkot a self-sustained city and a developed place. For achieving this, he aims to make Akkalkot an important pilgrim and tourist destination in India. He desires to develop it in a very sustainable and responsible manner not only to safeguard Akkalkot’s Traditional Religious and Royal Heritage but also to enhance it by creating opportunities for overall socio-economic development. He aspires to increase the literacy rate in Akkalkot and develop the higher education system. He wishes to improvise and develop the healthcare sector in Akkalkot in order to make it self-sufficient.

Rajasaheb is a big devotee of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj. He has taken deep cognizance into the history of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj. He from a very young age has read several books on Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj including “Bakhar Grant” and biography “Guru Charitra” written by Sant Wamanbhau Maharaj. Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj’s life sketch, the work done by him for humanity and all his miracles touched Rajasaheb’s heart. The incident which stirred Rajasaheb the most was the major incident where Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj had met H.H. Malojiraje II in Panchaytan Ganesh Temple in Akkalkot on Fifth day of Navratri and Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj graced H.H.

Malojiraje II with safron colored Vastra while bestowing upon him the responsibility to take care of the masses of Akkalkot. RajaSabeb while continuing the legacy of his ancestors and footsteps of Swami Maharaj, he always wanted to work on the vision to do noble deeds for the inhabitants of Akkalkot and all the devotees and visitors of Swami Samarth Maharaj. He came up with the idea of creating something notable in Akkalkot which would develop Akkalkot city. In order to give life to his vision he initiated his dream project “Anubhuti- An enclave of Miracles”.

He is the pioneer of this Anubhuti Project. For execution of this project, he has donated 42 acres of land belonging to Akkalkot Royal family which is in the heart of Akkalkot city. Through this project he envisages to establish a 108 feet tall, Shri Swami Samarth statue created by using 5 elements ( Pancha dhatu )  . The statue will be located in the middle of the historic lake called as Ram Talav. He intends to develop the adjoining area of the lake by creating, “Swami Divya Darshan” a cave like structure portraying 18 different major incidents of Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj’s life. He in this project will be creating various services and providing several amenities for the visitors and local people. The amenities will include residential cottages, meditation centers, food courts, club house, botanical gardens, boating, walking tracks, light and music shows, elephant sanctuary and parking lots for the devotees. The most important service this project will provide is free of cost treatment to poor and needy people in the well-equipped multi-specialty hospital with accommodation of 400 beds to be constructed under this plan. It aims at providing assistance, information, reception, hygiene, sanitation, security and infrastructure for the tourists as well as the locals.

This project will execute Raja Saheb’s vision of making Akkalkot a preferred tourist destination for both domestic as well as international tourists by offering a high-quality experience while ensuring environmental conservation and preservation of natural resources. Through this project Raja Saheb will restore all the water bodies and wells having historical significance. The “Dudh Bavdi” well which has a special mention in Shri Swami Samarth Maharaj’s “Bakhar” written by Shri Gopalyuva Kelkar will also be restored. He wishes to introduce different tour packages for the visitors of this project to facilitate them to experience Akkalkot’s Royal past with its unique appeal through its grand fort, palaces, temples, wells and other heritage properties in the taluka. Overall, it can be said that through this project Raja Saheb ensures to boost eco-tourism while enhancing religious, historical, cultural and heritage tourism in Akkalkot.

Adoption and ascension to the Gadi

After Vijaysinhraje’s death, his younger brother Jaisinhraje succeeded him. Jaisinhraje did not have any male heir. His two daughters- Sanyuktaraje and Sunitaraje were the only two legal heirs of Akkalkot State.

After the passing of the single parent adoption act in India, Sanyuktaraje Bhosle adopted Manaji Raje Bhosle from Kurla family district Satara and named him Maloji III. Now Shrimant Malojiraje III Sanyuktaraje Bhosle Akkalkot sits on the “Gadi” Of Akkalkot State.
